You probably already know this if you use TPA a lot but the best place to wait for a flight there is in the bar of the Marriott which is actually in the terminal. I often use this as no RCC available. If the weather is nice you can sit outside by the pool. The bar is just on the left when you enter the hotel and the exit to the pool area is just through the bar.
