NEW DELHI: The globe-trotting Indian's worst nightmare of facing long queues at Indian airports for immigration checks will soon be passe. The government is planning to ease the immigration rush at the arrival terminal at Indian airports by setting up separate check-in counters for Indians and foreigners.

The pilot project will be initiated shortly in Delhi and Mumbai airports. The decision to have separate immigration counters for returning Indians was taken at a meeting on Wednesday between civil aviation minister Praful Patel and tourism minister Renuka Choudhury.
