Unfortunately I can speak from experience - I made a claim on a Priceline rental with Amex and it was paid. Don't know why DC would be any different. The rental company showed that the rental was paid with a Priceline 'voucher'. When I faxed the Priceline receipt and Amex statement to Amex's carrier, it was accepted without a problem.
