As long as you are in BF or the first several rows of 777 coach you will have power as long as you have the proper cord (not anything that came with your laptop.) Do a search on "empower" in GeneralTravel and you'll find tons of info. If you need more, just ask.

You wont have ELTS (Exploding Laptop Sydrome) as using the 14 volts from the airplane seat is just as safe as using an AC adaptor at home. BUT, on occasion the powerports will be "out"-- either individually or as a group. If your seat's outlet is out, you'll need to switch seats (if possible.)

If the green power led is not illuminated for any of the powerports on the plane they need to be reset and that is very easy for the flight crew to do BUT, try and ask the service manager in BF as they are the only one who will know what you are talking about. If you ask a regular crew person they may say they'll ask about it and then they may not, which is frustrating.
