The best roast I've ever had in London is at a tiny pub called "The Yorkshire Grey" on a street that runs parallel to Oxford St about 2/3 blocks north near Oxford Circus. Cost £4.95.

If you pay more than about £9 for a roast in London, chances are it won't be very traditional.
