Obviously this is a very old thread, but I just discovered it...
We rented from Thrifty in Munich last December. Fantastic service, very nice staff, gave us a new VW diesel station wagon, helped us with directions and invited us to their Christmas party. Spoke great English.
Wish my US rentals were as good. I'd rent from the guys at Munich again in a heartbeat.
