One question I have is regarding the EEO's that go to Elites. Do all the tiers get the same offers? I don't think so, but I've only been Silver (for about three months) and then Platinum (made status via challenge).

As Silver, I never received any EEOs.

As Platinum the EEOs I've received have saved me hundreds of dollars. That's a definite plus for Platinum, but I'm not clear if Gold gets the same EEOs.

Honestly, if Gold does gets the same / very similar EEO's, I can't see why I'd go with Platinum over Gold. Just my opinion, of course. Marriott happens to be very close to the offices of my co's HQ, so it's not as if I've got a lot of choice in the matter.
