well argued indeed. I think at this point-- without letting one's guard down per se -- I personally think that we are "out of the woods" on this one-- if we were ever in the woods. I too have seen only upwards adjustments on my recent activity/May statement as a few stray Amex bonuses have come trickling in due to flights (one in March) that had to be manually added.

If there were any kind of wholesale reduction of member's mileage bonuses, surely there would be some very animated posts about it right here on FT. I certainly feel safe to stop thinking about it (alright, truth be told I never stop thinking about my FF accounts, but you know what I mean.)

Now, next case; how do we go about making sure CO/Amex gives us the exact same octuple mileage bonuses in winter 2001/2002??
