Stayed there when it first opened, so it has been years. Rooms are essentially: (a) standard hotel rooms; (b) large one bedroom suites; and (c) two bedroom suites, which are a combination of a and b. Not sure what your deal is.
The negatives - the parking garage is poorly designed, and you need to be very carefully winding your way to the top level where you can park for the hotel. In fact, my associate ripped the side view mirror off her rental car when staying there. Plus on weekend nights, the garage fills with the party crowd going to the bars in Beach Place, and it gets tough to go in and out. I also recall that the elevators were awful - very slow. The pool, which is on a deck facing the ocean side, loses sunshine in the early afternoon, so hit it in the morning if you are inclined.
I do recall very nice furnishings (we were on the intracoastal side, which first upset me, since I assumed the ocean side was a better view, but then I was happy once I realized how loud the Beach Place bars get) and rooms, with a large whirlpool tub in the 1BR and 2BR units. Location is great, and crossing the street for the beach is not problematic (although this is the public beach, so don't leave your valuables lying around, and you'll need to go back across the street for the bathroom). Great location though. Enjoy.
