I've been a reasonably frequent Y flyer with UA from LHR to ORD, JFK and SFO. I've had UA 1K (100k miles) and Prem Exec (50k) stauts over the last three years, so the E+ seating and frequent upgrades have been good.

Trouble is I'm relocating to Boston and UA have no direct service LHR-BOS. So it looks like BA or AA. I'm going to mostly be travelling on full Y fares once a month, with the occaisional splurge for WT+ when there are deals on.

What is the general feeling on likely treatment. From reading the posts here I get the feeling BA are brutal about freebies, such as OpUps for Elites. I'll also probably only get to EC Silver, so what is that level like?
