Let me see if I can get this straight in my head: You've never flown BA. You have nevertheless joined their frequent flyer scheme, which also offers some opportunities to collect mileage from non-flight partners. You continue to be able to collect miles from non-flying partners at the scheme's standard rates, as well as from flying (should you choose to engage in such non-standard activity) - also at standard rates.

And you complain about the lack of opportunity to earn extra, extra miles? Methinks there's a good Yiddish word for this, beginning with the letters ch.

Oh, you may not have noticed that BA was probably the most profitable airline in the world in 2004. Is BA "missing a trick"? I doubt it needs lessons about that from non-flyers.

Any such "lesson" sounds more like "I want, I want, I want".
I've probably used BA for 60% of my flights ever taken, so no idea where you got that idea from.

As you say. 'there are some opportunities to collect...at standard rates' - well exactly, there's nothing special to entice those segment of the market which like to collect miles, so that will make them go elsewhere. Last time I checked, BA had pretty low loads compared to other UK carriers, and maybe a bit more directed imaginativity would help to fill up those empty seats. Course, you're perfectly within your rights to determine it as pure greed & selfishness, but this is a Miles & Points forum I believe, and don't really understand your objections.
