I actually have been spending a good deal of time at the Hartford Windsor Marriott. It's an OK location. Our team negotiated a rate of 129/night (not including internet) - that seems like it's too high for your needs though. Lately, they have had some sell out weeks due to conferences and the like, and that probably is impacting their willingness to negotiate.

Have you looked at the Residence Inn down the road? I paid a $109 corporate rate (including internet) recently, so they might be able to work with you more. They don't have a fitness center onsite, but do provide passes to Gold's Gym. I thought it was decent, although that Courtyard does have better beds.
