Almost all tickets purchased with discounts (ie: coupons, child discounts, but not, strangely enough, senior discounts??) are not upgradeable. (Read the fine print on the coupon carefully.) We used to get around this by booking thru a TA and then giving them the certificates to upgrade (CO sees a lot less of the transaction this way). CO has made it very difficult to do this with the intro of E-Ticketing and E-Upgrades. At times, we even have trouble upgrading tkts using travel vouchers, although this is perfectly within the rules. Keep trying CO, maybe you'll get lucky (it seems to happen often at CO..lol) Good luck!
