I finally bit the bullet and bought my early September PBI to DUB ticket. Was $840 before the $100 prestige pack certificate.
I was going to hold out but it seemed like prices were getting higher every time I checked.

Here's the problem/question:

I had casually mentioned to the ticket agent (couldnt buy online because of the certificate) about calling Onepass and upgrading with miles to First class. She told me that because I used the discount certificate I could not do this.

Is this true? I would really like to get an upgrade as I dont have any 'recovery' days coming back this time.

PS: As soon as this flight is done, I have Silver Elite! I'm going to wait a few days and call OPSC and see if I can get status based on the reservation per discussions here. Quite funny, have almost 100k miles all this year, all since March, no elite status...


Side note: You all probably know this but I was told that the Onepass site is operated by an outside travel agent (not CO) but the normal CO ticketing center. I had originally made a reservation online and called into the Internet center, but the very nasty woman told me my discount was not good on a B-class fare! (said it was promotional) When I heard this I about hit the roof and fed the thing to my dog, but then decided to call the normal ticketing center. Thank god I did. See above.
