If you are going to be fewer than 500 miles short, why don't you just try calling the OPSC and ask them to give you the status.

I got my Silver status after only 21,280. I called to ask how soon they would give it to me (since I was going to come up 800 miles short after a trip and wanted the status early) and the supervisor just authorized the agent to give it to me on the spot.

Give them a call. They are generally pretty easy to work with.
