Slippahs - I think the elderly lady had to pull on the seat to be able to stand. Sometimes grabbing the armrests doesn't give enough leverage. I see it with my father-in-law. He needs to pull himself up.

If anyone but an elderly/disbabled person did it when there was more than enough room to stand, I would say something. If it happened again, I would use the seat recline button (great idea).
