I've also had BA do "gentle rerouting" by sticker, without a reissue. Things like accepting the single flight coupon A-B and going BA A-LHR-B, or the opposite (2 flight coupons A-B-LHR and flying BA A-LHR). Technically these required a reissue but BA was happy to get the revenue and just accepted them.
