AA says to just keep calling back as seats may be released at any time, but that is a nuisance.

In my experience, both AA and BA have had great "U" class inventory on the majority of flights that I have wanted. You must know that you CANNOT use AA miles to fly BA from the United States to Europe, however, you can try to fly out of Canada or Central America which is allowed. Good luck.
