9pm Est

It's been my experience you'll want to check in at 9 PM EST the day before your flight regardless of the 24 hour rule. Although you can check in at 24 hours out, the Ps don't fall off the seats until 9PM. So although you will be able to check in at 24 hours out, it will only be for the seats you already have. And the seats for my KLM legs were assigned at the airport by KLM. Good luck.

And I did check in online on nwa.com for a DTW-AMS-FCO flight online, with the AMS-FCO segment operated by KLM.

This 9 PM info is one of the most valuable pieces of info a non-elite flyer can get from FT, IMHO! I thank the original poster of this info! ^ ^
