880, if you are not automatically upgraded ahead of time due to your Silver status through the EUA process, I would make an attempt to use the coupons at check-in. I have had instances where agents allowed these coupons to be used at check-in and immediately confirmed an upgrade. Other times they did not take the time to read the fine print or they knowingly decided to allow utilization by interpreting the rules very generously and allowed me to upgrade an associate along with myself.
