Should I move to Europe and lose my BA Amex?

I am an EC blue card holder and my membership year runs until the beginning of July by which time I will have around 500 tier points. Most of my flights with BA are discounted economy and earn zero tier points. I have Amex Premium plus and clock up around 30K of spending per year on this (45,000 miles). If I moved to Europe I can get EC Silver but I will lose the BA Amex. I have Amex Platinum so can get 30K miles with that for the same spend and will make some of the 15,000 shortfall back on the silver tier bonus.

A few of questions for anybody that has moved to Europe with a BA Amex:

How long does it take them to find you out and close your account and what happens to any standing orders you have on the card?

If I were to keep my home address in the UK but move my business address elsewhere could I keep the BA Amex?, or do you have to be a member of the UK Executive Club?

Are there any other disadvantages to moving the account to Europe (other than physically getting hold of the card)?

Finally are there any "workarounds" to the above system?, is it possible to have two BA EC accounts?, one linked to the Amex and one registered in Europe?
