Just a quick question to a intelligent European.

I just went to nwa.com to see if I could pull this fare up, and I couldn't. I did, however see a fare for the same dates (9/15-9/19) for BUD-AMS-LIS-AMS-LIS all on KLM metal for 290 all in. Not a bad deal. When I went to see the base fare, it was 229, and the taxes were only 61 dollars. Why would the taxes show here for less than HALF the amount than on the Alitalia fare? Thanks if anyone knows the answer!
