Your 'invitee' gets an email with a link (coded to you) for 'registration', then goes back a few days later to 'enroll' (ie, repeat the signup process ) -- turns out there's a difference, which required a half-dozen calls over three weeks to resolve.
When we were finally able to access the new accounts, the 3k points were waiting... ^
