Since you folks are total professionals at this, I am here seeking your wise counsel.
If you're going to be in Seattle, I'd suggest you stay downtown rather than near the airport, which is not too exciting.
If you're a bit of a gambler, bid 2* and $45 in the Seattle Downtown zone on Priceline and hope to get the friendly and quite nice Springhill Suites. It's not assured of course, and you might get a not as nice place. But I've gotten this place three times on 2* bids.
If you want assurance of a nice place, bid 2.5* and $55 in the Lake Union zone. Not quite as convenient, but quite workable for being downtown.
Of course both suggested bids could fail, depending on hotel availability.
