No showers there when I was was in that lounge in March. I would also say that the $30 fee is practically not worth it. I used it only because I inadvertently arrived at the airport about three hours prior to my flight and the terminal area was a zoo. It really looks like the airport is operating past capacity despite the fact that it has been expanded in recent years. The lounge provided a nice respite because its very quiet. There were only a total of two pax, myself included that utilized the lounge while I was there. I found it tacky that even after paying the $30 entrance fee, I still had to pay for drinks. It would be nice if UA were to contract a lounge for use of its biz or elite pax at SJO, which has become quite unpleasant to navigate due to the crowds.
