I dial in on the elite number and have been reaching someone who speaks English at US Air. I am not an elite at Delta and always reach someone who is apparently in India. They told me that my computer had more access to Delta flights than their computers had. I had to go to the Delta ticket counter at the airport to speak to a real English speaking person. I could imagine the same problems at US Air and the other carriers if you are reaching agents who do not have English as their primary language.

The communication problem is that a person generally thinks in thier primary language, so it is easy to become confused as matters become more complex.
