The OP mentioned the turbulence, but nothing beyond that in the way of symptoms. The OP did mention trying NyQuil, but that is for respiratory symptoms. So, my advice is:

1. If it is a gastrointestinal problem, combine the responses from other postings and get some hot tea (decaffeinated if possible), some tepid ginger ale (leave the can or bottle open or pour into a glass and let it sit so the carbonation abates), and toast if you can take it. Alternatively, I have always found some chicken broth with rice from a Chinese restaurant soothing), or dare I say it -- chicken soup from a kosher deli! I would avoid most of the liquid medications that can make you sleepy as they can also make your GI problem worse!

2. If it is a respiratory issue, go for the antihistamine WITH a deconsgestant, so that you get the benefit of somnelence and you can get some rest. I would still go for the tea, and the chicken soup here...
