We were in Tanzania a couple months ago and spent an amazing week in the northern part of the country where the Masai people are concentrated. They make and sell beautiful beaded bracelets and neck collars. My husband and I bought several bracelets and a neck collar. They were not expensive but can add the right finishing touch to an outfit. We also bought numerous beaded bowls and baskets in various colors (not traditional Masai but beautiful nonetheless).

Also available in Tanzania are brightly-colored paintings called "tingatinga" which are simple but very cheerful depictions of people and/or animals.
