So, my question is, what do the different number of 'bongs' mean on AA?

i.e. after takeoff I'm certain the first 'bong' is to tell the aircrew they can now get up and start brewing coffee.

I do hope this makes sense and if anyone can help that would be really great as I could do with knowing too.

Thanks,

JC.

There really is not much more to it. It could be the deck to crew and it could be about anything. Need some coffee to a full emergency and anything inbetween.

It's also used to alert the crews that they need to ask/talk to the opposite end crew without walking through the entire length of the plane.
