Despite carving out $2 billion in annual savings so far, Delta Air Lines is still in trouble. The price of oil, currently near $50 a barrel, threatens Delta — and other airlines, as well. Delta's best hope is to outlast other carriers and raise fares enough to overcome the crippling cost of fuel.
