Notwithstanding this little glitch, this thread reminded me that CO.com is probably one of the better airline web sites out there. All the little things - flight paging, faxing the boarding pass (great when you're at a hotel without a printer to hook to your laptop!), easy-to-use search, etc.
My sister recently flew FLL-LGA on US to spend the weekend in Manhattan and 1) US does not offer a flight status paging service. I actually had to call in to find out if the flight was on time. Ugh. 2) Online check-in was a mess. 2 pax on the PNR, only her friend was successfully checked in, my sister got an error message. Since I had tried to move them both to the exit row, only her friend was actually assigned that seat, and numerous calls to the US web support and general reservations numbers were a waste of time -- plus they kept telling me that their systems showed both pax in the original seats, even though I had a printed boarding pass for the exit row for her friend! Of course at the airport, they were NOT together, but fortunately the exit row seats were still available and I could switch my sister to the open seat next to the one her friend was already in. What a nightmare. I'll never fly US myself!
Sorry for the detailed rant, but sometimes CO does in fact do it right.
