The DMZ isn't so close that a overshooting airplane is going into N. Korean airspace. I'm guessing but its more like ~30 miles away. DMZ tours are a whole day or 1/2 day event and you can't go by yourself. You have to go with a tour operator. The ride is about 1.5 hours from Seoul. Unless you want to work with a tour operator to do a private tour from the airport, you'll have to go into Seoul to pick it up.
