That said, when you cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge into New Jersey, instead of getting on the Turnpike right away, take 295 North instead. You can drive this about 50 miles north to the McGuire Airforce base exit where you can get to the Turnpike easily. You'll see the signs for the NJT as well. By driving on 295, you'll hit less traffic and have more exits from which you can choose restaurants.
