Sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to you...lost track of the thread.

We spent two nights in Iguazu and it was plenty. There are several tour companies at the hotel that sell tickets for tours within the park. We ended up buying a combo ticket for three tours - a boat ride into the falls, a drive through the jungle, and a canoe ride down the river. I am sorry I don't remember the price.

Our transportation to/from the hotel was part of our package - so I am not sure about the availability of cabs. Also, we did not try to get into the Brazilian side because I had read mixed things about being able to get in without a visa.

There wasn't much to do at the hotel at night - a guitar act in the lobby lounge.

The falls are spectacular. Plan to get up early (I think they don't let you into the park until 7 or 8 am) and take a walk around the park at dusk - more animals (monkeys, coti's, tucans) were out at these times. Wear good walking shoes - ones you don't mind getting wet. We walked most of the trails.
