I have one of these inspiron 6000s---but it is new. It has the same power adapter as my D600. Beware, these power adapters have a chip in them. If you buy an aftermarket brand like igo juice or targus or kensington, you may get power but it wont charge the battery. I went through two offbrand adapters before getting an official Dell universal AC/auto/air adapter that really works to power and charge the battery. It is bigger and heavier than a targus or igo, but it works.
