Therefore, there would be no reason to expect any NW miles from flying Cape Air, codeshare or not.

Oddly enuf, I thought the same thing when flying Colgan & Commutair. I was on Commutair IAH-BPT, got no NW miles, expected no NW miles. Return was on Colgan, got NW miles, didn't expect NW miles. Both flights were CO Codeshares. So once in while, one slips in.
