No, in SEA, ask about going MSP-MCI, and if it's wide open, they may even confirm you on the spot.

If it's full (or close to full), they won't do it, so check in MSP. Again, they may confirm you on the spot.

If it's full (or close to full), they'll put you on standby, and you can clear at the gate if there's space.
