LMM is pretty good, and Novotel Les Halles in the Opera Quarter East zone is good too, but I wouldn't really like the locations of any of the rest of them.
Granted, the Priceline areas, with the exception of the Opera Quarter East, are way too large.
I stayed at the Sofitel Forum Rive Gauche last week. I was concerned about the location. However, the Metro is 1/2 block away and the RER (B to CDG) is a couple of blocks away and the neighborhood is nice. I would have no hesitation staying there again. A couple of late nights out warranted a taxi from the Bastille, which was less than 10 Euros.
A couple of months ago, I stayed at the Meridien Etoile. Again, I was concerned about the distance from the tourist areas. However, the Metro is at the end of the street and the Air France Bus stopped right in front of the hotel, for easy access to the airport.
I think the main issue with these hotels is the distance, if you stay out beyond the time the Metro stops running.
