I needed a new overnight/long weekend bag, saw a 20" Eddie Bauer backpack rollaboard on clearance at their site about a year ago for only $15 - can cram quite a bit into it and it's amazingly sturdy, and comfortable when you actually want to use it as a backpack as well.
