I have spent a lot of time explaining how it works, other posts from others confirmed this - this was not, as patiently explained, based on opinion but based on fact confirmed by BMI and *A, but that is not good enough for you. Which part of top tier gets matched top tier, middle tier gets matched middle tier are you finding confusing ?!? You wrote it in your OP for heaven sake - "they would match to the eqivalent level". You are not the highest level of status in OW, so they are not going to give you the equivalent, highest level status in *A.

Which level does or does not grant lounge access has bugger all to do with it I'm afraid, and as detailed BMI Silver DOES give you lounge access on all BMI flights anyway. In fact, AA Plat. DOESN'T give you domestic lounge access on AA in the US, BMI Silver DOES on domestic UK BMI flights, so you get MORE in that regard with BMI Silver ! Yet again, comparing 'benefits' is pointless, innacurate and subjective.

What I am hearing is - "I'm AA Plat., and I want to feel important, but *A won't oblige so I am not happy, how can they see ME as ONLY a *A Silver ?" - Get over it mate.

Someone give the man the phone or fax number - he can't even find that on the BMI website on his own ! - he obviously will keep posting the same message until you do. Hey, if he is this annoying to BMI/*A they may even oblige and give him Gold just to get him off their back.
