I can give you one reason only... the chairs & umbrellas sold at the ABC stores are pure junk and cost more.

My parents purchased 2 chairs in ABC in Feb and they were the most uncomfortable things I ever sat in. Low back, non-reclining sand chairs. The umbrellas are really not very large & sturdy.

If you have a car it doesn't take very long to get to either Walmart or Kmart. Yes, Costco is a bit farther away, but we go the day after we arrive, stock up on water & souvies, as well as buy the chairs. We're set for the entire trip.
