I think there is no clear answer. Every situation is different and it warrants different outcomes, albeit good or bad. Yes, we are selfish travelers looking for in/consistency that, for the most part, favo(u)rs us. For the most part, if I can't get what I would like done, I'll try as many different legal and moral means possible if it will make my travels less stressful.
Sooo, good on ML for having a positive experience, and bad on the agent who decided to sort-of bend the rules (but good on the agent who decided to sort-of bend the rules!).
