Northwest sucks. I've flown 4-6 segments per week with them since the middle of November '00 before I found they don't award Elite levels by segment like every other airline (yeah, I guess I should have read the fine print sooner, but I've been an NWA customer for 5+ years). I just switched to CO and am on my way to Plat in 15 weeks.

Meanwhile, my wife who flies 1-2 trips per YEAR gets an offer in the mail last week offering her complimentary silver. If she flies 2 RT's in 2 months, she gets it until 2002. If she flies 5 RT's between now and the end of June, she gets GOLD until 2002. Not only are they not giving me status, now they're rubbing my face in it.

They'd aparantly rather try and convince someone who never flies to start, than to maintain a customer who's flying 4-6 flights per week. You'd think someone in marketing would figure that out, and realize that they're LOSING customers by not qualifying on segments like all other major carriers.
