with all the bath amenities hotels usually lay out for you in the room (lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, sewing kits, etc...) why don't they ever provide toothpaste? it is the one thing which everyone uses, and the one thing I hate bringing a large tube for a short trip. It is probably also the cheapest items for them to provide....
In my experience, Ritz-Carltons always provide toothpaste.
But most hotels don't. And I'm not sure why. Airlines frequently offer toothpaste on international flights, after all.
