SO if you add a connecting segment, you then have an extra segment tax, and PFC. Should the airlines pay for this additional cost that wasn't charged to you out of their pockets? Award or not, when standing buy for an extra segment, I think additional fees get paid to the airports for the PFC, and that cost SHOULD be passed on. I would say it should go both ways though too, if you standby for a direct vs a connection, does the airline pay based on the ticketed fees, or per passenger?
