He's only 3 months, so maybe just some time... right now, there is the chance that he would sleep through a flight of a couple of hours, and an equally likely chance that he would not, and would then scream hysterically for a bit... it's the unpredictability that would keep me out of First, as noone would be happy if he did get screamy. I also laugh when people tell me how much they went out to eat went their kids were his age- hubby and I don't even get to eat at the same time at home! All kids are different, and perhaps some 'belong' in certain situations that others do not- something for the parents to figure out, I suppose.
