the codeshare to SYD was indeed renewed - there is a LX-flight ZRH-SYD via FRA-SIN (on QF-metal between FRA and SYD). Amazingly, this flight seems to be sold only ex Switzerland.
There is also a connection with LX-flightnumber via BKK.

But - Last year I tried to get a discounted business class ticket with LX-flightnumber to SYD, which was absolutely impossible - even ex ATH or CAI. It seems that just a small number of fullfare-seats is sold with LX-# on the Qantas-planes.

I think that things will change soon - but also LH doesn't fly with it's own planes to Australia.

Interline connections with LX on discounted Eco do surely exist, you should ask a travel agent. But flying Eco from Europe to down under is clear out of scope for my long legs...
