That's terrible. You would have loved the tenth floor rooms. I can't imagine SPG not making this right by refunding your points and probably something else for such a disappointing stay. Re the lounge access, I can't remember anyone checking except for collecting the breakfast coupons, although they would probably need to do that if it got crowded. They didn't object to our son taking food back to the room. I agree the Westin in Tokyo was breathtaking. We didn't upgrade there but even the regular rooms are much like the ones at the Rome Excelsior.

Mario, there was OJ in the lounge the afternoon we checked in and quite a lot of hot stuff for breakfast - boiled eggs, bacon, some Japanese stuff and I think sausage.
