Okay, I'm assuming your (only) objective is getting to MLE using the 241. If you actually want to stop in the Middle-East then ignore the rest of this post!

In order to get as close as possible to Male using your 241 I would suggest the following. The closest airport on BA metal would probably be MAA. From there all you need to do is fly a short domestic flight to Trivandrum (about 40 minutes) and then there is a IC (Indian airlines) flight to MLE which is quite cheap at around £120 ish IIRC in Club. (Another 40-ish minute flight).

My other suggestion would be to consider BA metal to BOM or BKK, but both these might be hard in terms of getting availability in J.
