We just stayed there two weeks ago, on points with extra points for the upgrade. What floor were you on? The one with the lounge? 10, I think? Our room was impeccable, down the hall facing the teahouse (beautiful sunrise in the morning). There was so much food in the lounge we didn't eat anywhere else that night. The hotel was packed but not the lounge; in fact, we had the other lounge to ourselves to watch the Pope's funeral.

I can't say enough about the concierge desk. She helped me with some things before we even checked in, when we were staying at a ryokan down the street. My son had purchased some decorative swords we didn't want to take to Narita; she posted them and they got home before we did. They picked up train tickets for all three of us to different destinations so we didn't have to stand in line at the station. The PC was free in the lounge, too, so I checked out owing 280 yen to call MCI. There was another guest in the lounge tantrumming about no free wireless for $400/night but he declined my suggestion to walk 5 minutes down the hill to where my husband was using free wifi.
